Hi,

you mentioned on irc that you got lots of "(EE) MGA(0): [dri] Idle timed
out, resetting engine..." in the log.
One thing that would probably be worth trying is to disable dri.  To do
that, add 'Disable "dri"' in the Module section of xorg.conf.
