You might want to not use Fn4. These keys generally talk to the BIOS
which change things in the back of the driver. So we can definitely
expect some problems here. Could you try switching with xrandr instead?
The following line should enable TV-out and disable LVDS:
   xrandr --output LVDS --off --output S-video --auto
