This looks better. Can you add a 'Virtual 1600 1600' line to the
Display subsection of your Screen section, and then after X is up run
"xrandr --output VGA --mode 1600x1200"?

Cheers,
Julien

I can test that tomorrow, not local anymore.

Section "Screen"
       Identifier "Default Screen"
       Device "Generic Video Card"
       Monitor "Generic Monitor"
       DefaultDepth 24

       SubSection "Display"
               Depth 24
               Modes "1600x1200"
               Virtual 1600 1600
       EndSubSection
EndSection

Will let you know tomorrow, thanks!

Justin.

Yes this works, hmm, what is the recommended way to make this happen at KDM time?

# A program to run before the greeter is shown. Can be used to start an
# xconsole or an alternative background generator. Subject to word splitting.
# Default is ""
Setup=/etc/kde3/kdm/Xsetup

This works, thanks again, is this problem/solution documented anywhere btw?

Also, the Virtual was not needed, I removed that from the config, re-ran the xrandr, it worked fine.

Justin.
