You should use the 'reportbug' tool when reporting bugs, it would have
included lots of info we need to diagnose the problem. Please send us
the whole output of
    /usr/share/bug/xserver-xorg/script 3>&1
so that we see your whole config and log.

If you have DRI enabled, you should try without it. You should also try
with another driver, for instance vesa.

And you seem to be using Etch, Xorg changed a lot since then, it would
be nice to upgrade your Xorg to testing.
