Package: compiz
Version: 0.5.0.dfsg-2
Severity: normal
Hi,
It seems that the most functionality of compiz doesn't work.
Only the fancy alt+tab works but that's it.
Dragging de desktop (ctrl+alt & move mouse), the cube, the wobbling
windows, nothing. Also kde-window-decorator fail but for that is a
different error report.

compiz (maybe since 0.5) apparently comes with most plugins disabled.
You need to enable several plugins, for instance with gconf-editor. I'd
say "cube", "rotate", "place", "plane", "wobbly", "scale" at least.
Note that there are dependencies between plugins, so you need to place
them in a correct order in the list. Each plugin has a "require" option
which tells you which other plugins should be loaded earlier.
I currently have
$ gconftool --get /apps/compiz/general/allscreens/options/active_plugins
[gconf,decoration,wobbly,fade,minimize,cube,rotate,zoom,scale,move,place,switcher,screenshot,water,resize]
I know that's a pain... Graphical configurators are supposed to arrive
in the near future.
