Package: xserver-xorg Version: 6.9.0.dfsg.1-6~bpo.4 Severity: grave Hello, My system is an HP Pavilion DV4017EA laptop : Intel Celeron M 1,5 GHz processor with Intel 915GM chipset and 128 Mb shared video memory, with KDE 3.5.0, xserver-xorg 6.9.0 (both installed from Debian backports) and kernel 2.6.19.2. When I look at a wmv movie running with Noatun, I switch from the graphic screen to the console : no problem at this time. But when I switch back to the graphic screen, the xserver freezes, then a black screen appears and remains : I can't kill the server with the CTRL+ALT+BACKSPACE keys, no possibility to switch to another console, so the only way is to reboot the whole laptop (on/off button) The trouble seems to be located in the i810 module.
