Recompiled xfree86 (Debian, WOODY) and gotten what I have expected. Now I like to see the "keysyms" in newer versions because for WOODY it is to late. Now I have 5 multimedia keyboards from different manufacturers and these keys are the same as on all other keyboards I have seen. -- System Information Debian Release: 3.0 Kernel Version: Linux michelle1.private 2.4.27-work #1 Mon Apr 12 11:37:50 UTC 2004 i686 unknown Versions of the packages xserver-xfree86 depends on: ii debconf 1.2.35 Debian configuration management system ii libc6 2.2.5-11.5 GNU C Library: Shared libraries and Timezone ii xserver-common 4.1.0-16woody3 files and utilities common to all X servers ii zlib1g 1.1.4-1.0woody compression library - runtimeAttachment: signature.pgp

If it isn't, please reopen this bug and assign it to the xkeyboard-config package, or file it directly upstream at https://bugs.freedesktop.org/enter_bug.cgi?product=xkeyboard-config Cheers, Julien
