Hi,

I've done a typing error so I've used a _very_ big font in The Gimp.
Xfree crashed.
The messages I've found in the syslog are the following :

xfs[549]: Beziers this big not yet supported
xfs[549]: We have REALLY run out of memory

Hi,

as far as I know the type1 backend isn't used these days (support for
CID fonts is gone from libXfont, and the rest is or should be handled by
the freetype rasterizer).
I'm closing this bug, but feel free to reopen it if I'm mistaken and the
problem is still reproducible.
