Bug#433677: xserver-xorg-video-ati: Massive performance reduction from etch to lenny on radeon 9250
Package: xserver-xorg-video-ati
Version: 1:6.6.3-2
Severity: important
Under Etch, iceweasel is fast on X server with EXA.
After upgrade to Lenny, running iceweasel makes the X display
unresponsive (1-2 second lag ). I'm often unable to drag windows
around the screen as the window just ignores the input. CPU usage
by Xorg maxes out.
I know this is a problem with the X server not iceweasel because I ran
etch under chroot and etch's iceweasel had the same laggy/CPU-hogging response.
Radeon 9250, 1920x1200x24bpp
xorg.conf attached.
