I was about to submit this as a bug on xresprobe, when I found this bug report. My report and hardware details follow: Package: xresprobe Version: 0.4.23debian1 Severity: important I installed lenny (this is about 5pm yesterday) using a d-i daily netinst build from 29/06/07 (and thus I think xresprobe came from the testing repository). At about 80% through the installation of tasksel packages, having selected 'desktop', the screen went blank and the returned looking like this: http://mjj29.matthew.ath.cx/d-i/ (several photos of different VTs). The installer team say it's an xresprobe issue (there are similar bugs in ubuntu about this). The install completed fine, but I was running blind, since I couldn't read any of the text.
