Bug#415227: Compiz interferes with Screensaver -- unable to unlock a session

Brice Goglin wrote:
I wonder whether this bug is actually in compiz and not in
gnome-screensaver. There are some known problems with non-trivial X
config in gnome-screensaver, for instance randr-1.2 dual-head [1], which
lead to the unlock window not being displayed at all (but entering the
passwd unlocks and restores the display fine). Conditions are different
here, but the result looks similar.

Did any of you guys reproduce with another screensaver instead of
gnome-screensaver?

Yes, of course. I don't think its related to the screen saver.

Pressing F11 in gnome-terminal (full screen) has the same behaviour.

Again, this only happens if the particular option we talked about before is in one of it's two states.
