I thought there was some kind of Xinerama emulation on top of xrandr,
but I don't whether it matters here.

I have seen a couple minor problems with clients in randr-1.2 dual-head,
for instance a context menu not appearing in the expected
position/direction. However, nothing really bad so far.

Do you actually see some randr-1.2-related bugs? Or do you just need
help/time to configure/use randr-1.2? In case it helps, I put some basic
docs in section #5 of http://wiki.debian.org/XStrikeForce/ReleaseNotes a
while ago.

I'll keep this bug open for now, until you get a chance to test randr-1.2.
