Package: xserver-xfree86
Version: 4.1.0-1
OS: Debian 2.2 r5

Sometimes when I shut down the X Server (running with vesa driver) and
return to console my screen gets (and stays) filled with trashed
artefacts of my X session. I'm still able to communicate to the shell as
normal, only the video output is scrambled. The output of the X server
seems normal, and doesn't differ from that which I get when the video
output is properly reset. Since it appears at random I suppose this
behaviour results from a race condition.

Closing this bug since I didn't get any reply from the submitter (or
repliers) after my ping about a month ago. If anybody ever reproduces
this problem, feel free to reopen.
