I have the following installed versions: $ dpkg -s xserver-xorg-core | grep Version Version: 2:1.3.0.0.dfsg-5 ~$ dpkg -s xserver-xorg | grep Version Version: 1:7.2-3 $ dpkg -s xserver-xorg-video-intel | grep Version Version: 2:2.0.0-1 >> I will try again later (I don't want to crash my X system now, sorry). >> > > Thanks. Don't forget to grab a backtrace from Xorg.0.log after the crash > (or Xorg.0.log.old after restarting a new X), or better from gdb after > attaching before the crash. I attach the Xorg.0.log. Some time ago I tried to get the gdb backtrace using the information from http://wiki.debian.org/XStrikeForce/XserverDebugging but I failed. If you are wishing to assist me, I can try to do it again when I get some time. Thanks for you time, César > Brice > >
