Hi,

Joseph, I am not sure about your savage problem, this driver might need
to be updated for Xserver 1.3 (and I don't think 2.1.2-5 currently in
unstable will help) or the server might need some fixes (it breaks other
drivers such as Vesa because of wrong VBE mode scanning IIRC).

Andy, your problem is probably unrelated to Joseph problem. Please try
upgrading xserver-xorg-video-ati to experimental (6.6.191 or 6.6.192),
it should fix your MergedFB.
