With sw_cursor enabed, it works fine.  In the default state (which used
to work a few releases ago), the cursor appears as a big square block
of garbage.

Unfortunately, I don't know exactly how many; this isn't my laptop.

This is a NeoMagic NM2380, on a Sony PCG-XG18 laptop.
