While xserver-xorg 6.8.2 worked with the same kernel and config, since
the upgrade to 6.9.0 I get the following oops, as a result Xorg dies
and the screen stays black:

Interestingly /dev/dri after that (even when I removed card16 before)
looks like:

> ls -l /dev/dri
total 0
crw-rw-rw- 1 root root 226, 0 Feb 14 17:27 card0
crw-rw-rw- 1 root root 226, 16 Feb 14 18:06 card16

I don't know, if card16 should exist here, the Xorg.0.log looks
suspicious in this regard also. Is this a case of miscommunication with
the kernel?

This may be the kernel's fault, but I run the default
kernel-image-2.4-686 as present in stable (kernel-image-2.4.27-2-686
2.4.27-10sarge1, testing and unstable version 2.4.27-12 also oopses),
which should be quite widespread.
