Package: xserver-xorg
Version: 6.9.0.dfsg.1-4

kernel: linux-image-2.6.15-1-686

I've recently upgraded the sarge installation on my laptop to etch.
After resolving some minor problem of dependecies i get my system working.
Using the graphical interface, after a time between 5 and 15 minutes the system freeze and doesn't respond to any key, also Ctrl+Alt+Del. I've no idea on problem cause.
I think that it could be X.org but I've no clues about this.
My laptop is a Compal CL56 with Centrino Dothan and a Ati Radeon 9700 Mobile.

I've tried to modify the xorg.conf file in several way but with no success.

I've searched log file for clues but finding nothing. Being the system totaly freezed I've no idea on other problem. I only think that the CPU is at 100% but i think that only because after some second of freeze start the fan.

Thank for attention given and sorry for my bad english

Goodbye
Albertalli Luca

Upstream bug fixed last summer, so even Etch should not have this bug,
closing.
