Package:x-server xfree86 Hello. Sometimes my xserver xfree86 crashes. I'm using a S3 Inc. Savage 4 (rev 02), the crash is reproduceable when sorting some data with the konqueror. I'm using konqueror 3.2.2 on kde 3.2.3. Watching top in a x-shell at the same time, I see that the xfree86 runs up to 99.7% CPU-time; and someone the system gets frozen. I'm using this x-server : teneriffa:/home/thomas# X -version This is a pre-release version of XFree86, and is not supported in any way. Closing since the submitter reported that the bug was gone in XFree86 4.4. We never actually shipped XFree86 4.4 in Debian but there are many chances the fix was in XFree86 CVS before Xorg started. In case I am wrong and the bug is still in Xorg, feel free to reopen. Brice
