Bug#422168: xserver-xorg-core: xv compresses movies to half of the screen

Package: xserver-xorg-core
Version: 2:1.3.0.0.dfsg-3
Severity: normal

Hello,

when I play movies through xv, either in kaffeine or mplayer, they are compressed to the left half of the viewport, either fullscreen or window. Interesting thing is,
that restarting X sometimes solves the problem.
