The same problem here. the "xrandr" showed my only 800x600 and 640x480, but I was running on 1024x768 before the upgrade from i810 to intel. Removing the lines: HorizSync and VertRefresh in xorg.conf allowed the xrandr to find the 1024x768 resolution and everything is fine now. Ondrej
