Severity: important

I am running Etch on a HP Compaq nx6310. After seleting 'Adjust Date & Time...' from KDE clock I changed the time in the 'Configure - KDE Control Module' dialogue. After pressing 'OK' the screen went dark and the system froze.
I wasn't able to restart the X-sever (Ctrl+Alt+BackSpace) or to get the display back.

The only thing I could do was to turn off the laptop.

Here are some additional system information:

This is not really related to this bug, this is just caused by the libc6
2.5 upgrade.

Good news, thanks, I am closing this bug.

What's not OK? The fact that it goes dark? It is probably just the
screensaver being confused since your last key/mouse event is in the
future while it is supposed to be in the past. It's hard to workaround
this, and I don't think it is worth fixing it since you are not supposed
to adjust your clock in the past very often :)
