when the system clock is adjusted backwards by a significant period of
time (eg. 20 minutes), the X server will immediately crash.  this is
reproducible on my computer every time.  I suspect it has to do with
acpi event handling, although allowing the normal screen blank to occur
on its own and then hitting any key to "wake" the display back up goes
without any noticeable problems.  it's only when forcing the clock back.
