Bug#420221: x11-common: Generates duplicate InputDevice when synaptics touchpad present
Package: x11-common
Version: 1:7.1.0-16
Severity: normal
On this system, the automatically generated xorg.conf contained the following:
Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Configured Mouse"
Driver "mouse"
Option "CorePointer"
Option "Device" "/dev/input/mice"
Option "Protocol" "ImPS/2"
Option "Emulate3Buttons" "true"
EndSection
Section "InputDevice"
Identifier "Synaptics Touchpad"
Driver "synaptics"
Option "SendCoreEvents" "true"
Option "Device" "/dev/psaux"
Option "Protocol" "auto-dev"
Option "HorizScrollDelta" "0"
EndSection
However, /dev/input/mice includes the data returned from /dev/psaux. This
causes duplicate mouse events and odd mouse behavior.
