Bug#415061: xserver-xorg-video-i810: Screen remains dark after upgrade to experimental versions

I noticed the following:
downgrading to the previous driver version works, BUT if I switch to the
console and back to the xserver, the screen is black, just as with the
new driver. The new driver does two mode switches when starting. So it
might actually be a bug somewhere else.
