 Missing file /usr/lib/libXft.la in 2.1.8.2-2 version of package, but in 2.1.7 it was.
 It makes the package is unusable for building programs.

Closing, we are not going to ship libtool files. You might want to look
at /usr/lib/pkgconfig/xft.pc.
