No, I have not reproduced this problem recently. After reporting this
Bug #312373 I did not try installing Debian for a long while. My most-
recent install was about Dec.2006 (2 months ago) on NSLU2 (low-memory ARM)
via network+text, so no X11. About 4 months ago I installed the predecessor
to Etch on a i686, but had no problems with X configuration.
