Package: x-window-system-core
Version: 6.9.0.dfsg.1-1
Severity: normal

Happy holidays, and congratulations on getting 6.9.0 out the door!

That said, I'm afraid I have a bug to report:

As noted in #334721, which I believe it's too late to reopen :-/, the
libgl1-mesa-dri should be an alternative *both* to xlibmesa-gl *and*
to xlibmesa-dri, the latter coming from the substvar
XWSC-Special-Depends, defined via XWSC_SPECIAL_DEPENDS in
debian/scripts/vars.*.

x-window-system-dev is another matter, as not all of the -dbg packages
it depends on *have* Mesa equivalents; perhaps those dependencies
could be downgraded to recommendations (and alternatives added where
possible, including in XWSD-Special-Depends)?

Thanks!

Closing since x-window-system and -core are now both a transitioal
package depending on xorg which depends on libgl1-mesa-dri and -glx.
xlibmesa-dri and -gl are just transitional packages now.
