Package: twm
Version: 4.1.0-13
Severity: normal

An 8-bit character is not effective on ~/.twmrc. So I can't use
Japanese EUC characters on the TWM menu.

A patch is available:

Subject: [I18n] [patch] 8-bit clean .twmrc
  From: Tomohiro KUBOTA <kubota@surfchem0.riken.go.jp>
  Date: Wed, 04 Oct 2000 01:46:36 +0900

I don't know why the upstream author doesn't apply this patch.

System information:

I'm using Debian GNU/Linux sid i386, kernel-image-2.4.17, libc6
2.2.4-7, and these packages:

----
ii twm 4.1.0-13 Tab window manager
ii xfree86-common 4.1.0-13 X Window System (XFree86) infrastructure
ii xserver-xfree8 4.1.0-13 the XFree86 X server
