You're seeing at least one different problem than the one reported here
then, which was definitely an nv driver specific hang. xserver-xorg-core
2:1.1.1-12 has a fix for a problem that could cause input to get ignored
randomly. If that's not the problem you're seeing, please check whether
the problem(s) have been reported against the various drivers, and if
not, report them with full config and log files and detailed description
of the symptoms.
