The lines were spraypainted. Finishing touch was the repainting the tank
and side covers.
This was cleaned; highly polished; satined in an emulsion and
clearlacked. I spend hours on this job.
Reproduction was good.
Maybe a takegawa headlight with a halogen bulb should fit in.
Ran Ok for a while, but now will require a new crankshaft or rebuild of
the old one. Rare and collectable now, good original bikes are hard to
find.

its quality is to try to get the engine running.

the front fork and wiring to the takegawa clocks. Extremely detailed
records were kept by original owner.

Obviously, the sporty and reliable Hornet returns our hero, just in time
before the real race begins.
Seat is from restored Shovelhead that was thrown in the trash when I
found it. Note the high pitch sound and the incredible rpms. Story goes
these were distributed to dealers - probably high-volume ones - as shop
window eye-candy.
Many parts purchased from CMS during the restoration.

After spending many, many thousands of dollars the bike is starting to
take shape and started up on the first hit of the starter button.
This is how far this build is from completetion.
A total restoration is in order, so the crank will be rebuilt at that
time. Fun to ride, a real conversation-starter. Fortunate for the CUB it
still manage to work even after riding a couple of miles.
This bike also has the reflectors and the small headlamp.
Got the kitaco CDI on the side of the frame.
it may not surprise you that after inserting the ignition key and gently
applying the kickstarter, this incredible strong vehicle starts without
a cough.

helicoptor and a hummer, everytime outmanoeuvred by the Varadoro.
