localized Xresources

Hello *,

For some times I have read a reauest on <debian-x> (I think) and...

I am Debian GNU/Linux Consultant between France, Germany, Moroco,
Turkey and Iran and have localized some X applications (on demand of my
custoers) while modifying the Xresources and puting them into

    /etc/X11/C/
    /etc/X11/de
    /etc/X11/fr

In the same time I have the trist looking black-n-white dialogs
colorized.

I have uploaded a testpackage to <mentors.debian.net>:

* Package name    : tdapp-defaults-l10n
  Version         : 0.0.3
  Upstream Author : Michelle Konzack <linux4michelle@freenet.de>
* URL             : http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/t/tdapp-defaults-l10n
  SRC repository  : deb-src http://mentors.debian.net/debian unstable main
  dget            : http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/main/t/tdmenu/tdapp-defaults-l10n_0.0.3-2.dsc
* License         : Artistic
  Section         : x11
  Description : This package give the x-window-system tools
                    .
                    editres, xfontsel, xterm, xcolorsel and xman
                    .
                    a new look and feel with a light blue color and localized in
                    .
                    de and fr
                    .
		    more languages will be added in the future hopefully.

I have encontered that "editres" is broken but it will be hopefully
solved in the next days.

My idea is, not only to localize the Xresources but colorize them too.
I am working on crating a system which use packages like

    tdapp-defaults-l10n-common

with depends on (one or more)

    tdapp-defaults-l10n-lang            (Virtual Package)

        tdapp-defaults-l10n-de
	tdapp-defaults-l10n-fr
        ...

and depends on ONE of

    tdapp-defaults-l10n-color           (Virtual Package)

        tdapp-defaults-l10n-dummy	(used if no colors are desired)
        tdapp-defaults-l10n-lightblue
        ...

Since at least one of the *-lang and *-color are required,
#include "..." can not be broken.

Currently I am creating a testpackage of it but I do not know, when it
is ready since it reauires heavy timeconsuming york with "editres" to
get all reqired resource strings.

The files are generaly (e.g. xman):

    /etc/X11/C/Xman             (include only the Xman-real)
               Xman-color (use the color stuff and include Xman)
	       Xman-real        (real Xman resources)

    /etc/X11/de/Xman            (include only the Xman-real)
                Xman-color      (is a SYMLINK to /etc/X11/C/Xman-color)
	        Xman-real       (is a SYMLINK to /etc/X11/C/Xman-real)

the SYMLINKS are neccesary since "#include" require the files in the
same directory as the called Xresource.

Any comments are welcome.

Thanks, Greetings and nice Day
