mkfontdir segfaults in the presence of a certain file, which I have
attached.  This makes jnethack FTBFS.  Since jnethack fails only on
ia64 and alpha, this seems to be a 64-bit problem.

I can't reproduce this problem with the file you attached using the
current version of mkfontdir.
I am thus closing this bug.
