Indeed. Why did the update code in xserver-xorg.postinst not take effect?
Fox, do you have the xserver-xorg package installed?
In any case, this bug report now has about four different "submitters", and
none of them have given any evidence of a reproducible bug in this package;
either their problem has come down to a configuration issue, or they've
given no information that can be used to reproduce or diagnose the problem.
So I'm marking this bug -- the one that was originally reported -- as fixed
in version 2:1.0.2-10, which it was.
If you have a problem with font display still in Xorg 7.1, please open a
*separate* bug report. (e.g., Fox, if you have xserver-xorg installed but
your xorg.conf was not automatically updated for you, please open a bug on
xserver-xorg.)
