The attached (untested) patch should solve this issue. (the us alternative should be added because "gr" is listed in the NON_LATIN variable and the "grp:alt_shift_toggle" XkbOptions is always added ) I consider this bug as important enough to deserve an update for etch. Without objections, I'll commit the fix in the SVN.
