Bug#398300: xf86EnableIOPorts: failed to set IOPL for I/O
Package: x11-common
Version: 1:7.1.0-6
Severity: important
This error occurs when trying to spawn a new x-session from within a
open x-session.
It works fine as root.
I can verify that this package is the cuprit because downgrading to
1:7.1.0-5 fixed the problem.
The full output is
Fatal server error: xf86EnableIOPorts: failed to set IOPL for I/O
