Bug#374070: xkb-data: There is no Macintosh model for japaneses keyboard yet, but jp106 works well.
Package: xkb-data
Version: 0.8-14
Followup-For: Bug #374070
Dear Junichi, Denis and X Strike force,
As there is no Macintosh model for japanese keyboard in the current
xkbdesc sources, the configuration of Junichi can not work correctly.
However, setting "XkbModel" to "jp106" should restore a correct
behaviour of the "]" key.
If Junichi confirms that the problem is solved, then this bug can be
retitled "xkb-data: CustomKeycode disabled, no special keys on ppc with
fr layout" instead of being closed because the problem submitted in this
bug by the French user is unfortunately unrelated (or shall he open a
new one?).
PS: I am working with the upstream maintainers to add full support of
the japanese macintosh keyboard, in particular the EISU and KANA keys,
which have their own keycodes.
Have a nice weekend,
