Bug#395569: compiz: cube looks strange when hsize != 4
Package: compiz
Version: 0.2.0-1
Severity: wishlist
Hi,
When I change the number of faces for the cube plugin (using
/apps/compiz/general/screen0/options/hsize), the result is quite
strange, as shown on the following screenshots with hsize=7 or 8:

I don't know why the cube has to remain a cube when hsize != 4.
I guess it's more a technical problem than a design choice.
But, IMHO it would much better to keep rectangles only for the sides of
the cube, and change the faces above and below to be non-square regular
polygons (mathematicians would say the cube would be a cylinder with a
<hsize>-regular polygon as a base).
Thanks for the great work anyway, Xorg 7.1 and compiz work very
well on my Radeon X300.
