The keyboard control panel cannot recognise any of the keyboard types that are defined in the data package. Defining the keyboard types and keyboard switching under Xorg.conf is broken. This has rendered this machine unusable in a multilingual production environment, which will cost me as many days' work as it takes until you get it going again. Please look into it. Am happy to provide any necessary debugging data.

Hi,

I am downgrading the severity because this package has been heavily tested,
and you seem to be the only one having trouble. Can you please provide the
following informations:
  * What was the previous version of xkb-data (can be found in /var/log/dpkg.log)?
  * Keyboard section of your xorg.conf
  * Output of the following 2 commands:
     $ xprop -root | grep XKB
     $ gconftool-2 -R /desktop/gnome/peripherals/keyboard/kbd

Denis
