Package: xserver-xorg-video-mga
Version: 1:1.4.1.dfsg.1-4
Severity: important

Hello,

After last update of xorg (dated 23/09/2006), xawtv crashed every
time X.

After analysis, it seemed that XVideo use was responsive of that, as
also tvtime and vlc crashed also X.

With vesa module, the display is ok.

After downgrading xorg to "testing", xawtv was ok.

Then I installed back xserver-xorg-core (1.1.1-9),
xserver-xorg-input-kbd (1.1.0-3), xserver-xorg-input-mouse (1.1.1-3),
xserver-xorg-video-mga (1.4.1.dfsg.1-4) from unstable

xawtv is ok, but tvtime complains about no usable XVideo

Installing xserver-xorg-video-v4l (0.1.1-3) from unstable makes then
xawtv crash X every time.

The problem is the same with every WM (TWM, KDE, Gnome...)

As long as the problem is present with mga driver, the xinerama is not
usable with XVideo.

This should be fixed with the upload of 1.4.2 to unstable. Please re-open
if that package does not fix the bug. Thanks.
