Bug#392745: libx11-data: confirmed - (again - sorry for not reading reportbug texts well enough)
Package: libx11-data
Version: 2:1.0.3-1
Followup-For: Bug #392745
What was described in the original bug report also occurs here. Some
additional information that might be helpful
- downgrading libx11-data alone to 2:1.0.0-9 solves the problem for me
- seems to be somehow utf-8 related - non-utf8 locales seem to work
(tested here with de_ch and de_DE)
- the apps of the big DEs seem unaffected
- worst are the x/aterms - there all non-ascii characters get printed as
two - mutt/nano and co become quite unusable and the pstree tree looks
like this: yslogd
Err - actually this should be two a-circonflexe in front of the syslog.
