Unable to launch X windows after upgrading from xorg 6.9 to xorg 7.1. The last lines of the Xorg.0.log are:

(II) MGA(0): I2C Device DDC Removed
(II) MGA(0): I2C Monitor info (nil)
(ii) MGA(0): end of I2C Monitor info
At this point the signal is lost to the monitor and I have a black screen.
