Bug#371065: patch doesn't work for me
Hi,
as far as I can see, I'm bitten by the same bug. When switching
from GUI to a text console and back again, I get lost in the cycle
(as described in
https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-video-i810/+bug/28326
)
> Respawn
> Watch pointer
> Arrow pointer
> Respawn
After a few iterations the X server stops.
http://eusebeia.dyndns.org/~hsteoh/debian/xserver-xorg-core_1.0.2-9_i386.deb
doesn't fix that bug for me.
I also tried to install
http://www.linux2go.dk/ubuntu/pool/main/x/xorg-server/xserver-xorg-core_1.0.2-0ubuntu8linux2go1_i386.deb
from
https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-driver-i810/+bug/29880
This patched xorg-driver doesn't allow me to switch to the text console.
