Bug#389433: xserver-xorg-video-fbdev: Rotate option does not work anymore

Package: xserver-xorg-video-fbdev
Version: 1:0.3.0-3
Severity: normal

Hi,

I use fbdev to rotate my screen (my monitor can be turned vertically) since
the driver (ati) for my video card does not support it. The corresponding
option in xorg.conf is:

Option "Rotate" "CCW"

It used to work very well, but since the last reboot of my box I get an
unreadable screen with this option. It looks like four interleaved
copies of the screen (shown horizontally) evenly horizontally
translated (it's a bit hard to describe it, but in one word, it's a
mess).

I guess that the problem was introduced between 1:0.1.0.5-2 and
1:0.3.0-3. It's a bit hard to track this more precisely since no
upstream changelog is shipped with the pacakge.

Feel free to tell me if you need me to do some tests, etc.

Thanks for your help.

Cheers,

Samuel.
