Bug#389085: xfonts-utils: issues warnings if /usr/lib/X11/fonts/Type1 doesn't exist
Package: xfonts-utils
Version: 1:1.0.0-6
Severity: normal
Hi,
I'm the maintainer of culmus package (provides Hebrew fonts).
In the package I use dh_installxfonts to do the right updates in postinst and postrm.
The line "update-fonts-scale Type1;update-fonts-dir --x11r7-layout Type1" appear in both.
On a freshly installed Etch this line produces the warning "warning: /usr/lib/X11/fonts/Type1 does not exist or is not a directory" once for each command. Since this installation is fresh and done after the X11R7 transition the sub directories in /usr/lib/X11/fonts/ aren't created. The x11-common package only create usr/lib/X11/fonts/.
Please take this into considiration in the code. So these errors would be produced.
Thanks.
