Subject: xkb-data: Logitech Media Keyboard Elite not fully supported Package: xkb-data Version: 0.8-7 Severity: normal *** Please type your report below this line *** The media keys of the Logitech Media Keyboard Elite ( http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/products/details/DE/DE,CRID=2166,CONTENTID=10568 ) do not work properly. I have it hooked up through the USB port. I found the XkbModel logiinkseusb to be quite similar to the keyboard. All media keys are recognized by xev but for keys. xev is does not recognize the three zoom buttons on the left side and the IM key on the top right. dmesg does not show any output either. I found the following resources on the web: - https://launchpad.net/bugs/46586 -- contrary to this the logiinkseusb is similar (so maybe not all of the patch is necessary) - http://www.linuxinfusion.com/2006/05/13/configuring-the-logitech-media-keyboard-elites-multimedia-keys/ (On my computer xev shows that the "Startseite" (Homepage)-Key sends the keycode 130 in contrast to 178. Maybe related to USB/PS/2) Trying to set the kernel level keycodes as on the websites produces: sudo setkeycodes 6a 190 KDSETKEYCODE: Kein passendes Gerät gefunden (translation: no suitable device found) failed to set scancode 6a to keycode 190 (I heard that this is related to USB, but it seems to work on the launchpad guys computer.) It would be great, if you integrated that keyboard in xkb-data. I am willing to help, if someone could give me some hints, what to do. Thanks in advance.
