Package: xserver-xorg Version: 6.9.0.dfsg.1-4 Severity: normal Hi, I recently enabled the "Composite" extension in my Xserver. While the system ran mostly okay, some applications crashed that worked just fine before, namely qiv and the mozilla flash plugin. Both report some X error, the mozilla flash plugin unfortunately takes down the whole browser. :-( qiv however might make for a good test case, it will just exit with some X11 error (sorry, forgot to copy it to a file, and now I'm running without Composite and it's working fine now) My graphics card is a ATI Radeon Mobility, namely ATI Technologies Inc Radeon RV200 LX [Mobility FireGL 7800 M7]

These are client-side bugs. For the most part, you can make them go away by setting XLIB_SKIP_ARGB_VISUALS=1. Cheers, DanielAttachment: signature.asc
