The transcoded fonts seem to have been merged into xfonts-base, so it's safe to remove the xfonts-base-transcoded package (which doesn't exist in testing or unstable). I think this bug should be closed; I'll do so myself if I don't hear from the maintainers in a few days. -- A true pessimist won't be discouraged by a little success.
