I think I hit this bug, too: - Total display lock (but system still up, I could login via ssh) - X went crazy and started sucking 99% cpu - X not killable, even with SIGKILL (wondering how this can happen in userspace). - On Linux 2.6.17. It didn't happen to me before with 2.6.8, but then again my 3d support was disabled then. There are a pair of differences: - My Xorg.log ends with a (seemingly) infin loop. It managed to write the same blurb 58 times. Attached. - My X worked fine for a few days (and it even displayed trivial opengl clients like glxgears). It did only crash when attempting to run xmoto. I'll try the attached patch when I have more time. HTH. -- Robert Millan My spam trap is <honeypot@aybabtu.com>. Note: this address is only intended for spam harvesters.
