Actually, last I looked, X.org *is* in Debian.
We did some (reasonable) change in X.org, and if people have issues with
that on their real life system, I think it's our task to try to protect
the from such issues.
If it's not reasonable to support it in code, why not doing what the
submitter proposed - adding that information to the release notes. But
just ignoring it isn't IMHO the right thing.
